Why Cash-Based Physical Therapy?

Treadwell, DPT is a cash-based physical therapy practice, meaning we do not bill insurance directly. Instead, patients pay at the time of service and may choose to submit their receipts (superbills) for out-of-network reimbursement.

This model allows us to provide personalized, one-on-one care without the limitations often imposed by insurance companies. That means:

• No surprise bills or hidden fees

• More time focused on you—not insurance paperwork

• Freedom to create a treatment plan that actually fits your needs

• Access to specialty care, like men’s pelvic health or performance-based rehab, that’s often not covered by insurance

I believe in quality over quantity, and my approach gives you more control over your health without sacrificing the opportunity to use your benefits!

Out-of-Network Provider Policy

If you plan to seek reimbursement from your insurance, I’ll provide you with a detailed superbill after your visit(s). This document includes everything your insurance needs to consider reimbursement under your out-of-network benefits.

To ensure full transparency and understanding, we do require that you sign the Out-of-Network Payment Policy prior to or at your first appointment if you plan to submit for reimbursement. This simply acknowledges that:

• You understand we are not in-network with your insurer

• You are responsible for payment at the time of service

• Any reimbursement will be sent directly to you from your insurance
